So in the time my blog was down, I was lucky enough to attend a few different types of blogging events & wanted to share them with you as I had such fun! The first of these was the #BloggersFestival 2015, arranged by Scarlett of SL Blogger Events.
Scarlett is an events wizard! She puts on amazing get togethers for blogger networking, both with brands & each other. I went last year & had a fantastic time, so be sure to check out my #BloggersFestival 2014 post to see what we got up to.
When we arrives, Mode Media had set up & covered the area they were in blue light. Luckily they seemed to be in a separate room to the main event. Because of how coloured lighting affects my Basilar Type Migraine, I had to be smuggled in to #BloggersFestival! I was really thankful to have arrived with friends, as it made getting help easier. I was really looking forward to chatting with Mode Media, but I have an email address so I can get in contact with them, which I will be doing asap.
As I stepped into the main room, Gemma from Jewellery Box came bounding over to me!I was truly overwhelmed that she recognised me & had a lovely chat with her. The Jewellery Box stand was amazing, really well thought out & put together. I love this brand, they have some great quality, individual pieces at really affordable prices! This is what I’ve been wanting from a jewellery brand my ENTIRE life!!!!!!!
We got a sneak peak at the new unicorn necklace – so cute! I was lucky enough to be sent one & I love it! Keep your eyes peeled for it to feature in an OOTD coming soon!
The lovely people from Bon Prix had brought some of their pieces with them, along with a mannequin for us to put together our favourite outfit! It was so much fun! I was one of the lucky winners of the Twitter competition & got a little goody bag.
I then had a chat to the lovely people at Yoogaia. They run yoga classes online, which I think is a great idea! As you may know, I’ve been doing yoga on & off since I was 16 & I find it really helps with my EDS. I’ve been doing it with a DVD & have never had any professional input. Yoogaia offer a web based class over Skype, so the instructors can see your body position & correct things that you might not even realise are wrong. I’m looking forward to investigating this further when my mobility has improved.
I loved being able to check out some of the makeup brushes from Nanshy. I’ve already reviewed their Makeup Blending Sponge & was really impressed with it. I like to be able to see & feel makeup brushes before purchasing, so this was great a great opportunity to see the range in person, particularly the ergonomic brushes as a friend who also has EDS raves about them for being comfortable to use. I have to say, I wasn’t disappointed & will definitely be making a purchase! I was gifted two brushes, which I’m looking forward to playing with & letting you know what I think!
I got the opportunity to meet designer Taisir Gibreel. Having studies in Scotland, her prints are inspired by Scottish art work – something I was really excited about, since I have Scottish heritage. The gorgeous silks were a great quality & I loved the bold colours used.
I got to catch up with so many blogging friends. It was amazing! I loved being able to catch up with Beth from Beauty In Beta, Monica from Moth Loves, Courtney from CourtzMelv & Caz from Style Lingua. I also got to meet some fantastic bloggers, including Lix from Lix Hewett & Lauren from Britton Loves.
Unfortunately I didn’t get as many photos as I would have liked, I was overwhelmed by the number of lovely bloggers I got to catch up with & meet, as well as great brands to talk to. I feel like I only got to meet a fraction of the brands & bloggers there. Those I did get to see really made the day a special one. Thank you so much to all the wonderful bloggers & brands that were at #BloggersFestival! Very special thanks to Scarlett for all her hard work in making it possible!
