Since seeing Leah from Devoted To Pink’s Boohoo Sequined Bomber Jacket outfit post, I’ve been wanting to introduce sequins into my day wear. While going through my old clothes that had been put in the loft when they became too small, I was excited to find a sequin Disney t-shirt. It was my sister’s, but she didn’t want it any more so passed it on to me. My Mum, sister and I do this quite a bit. It’s great to be able to pass on clothes we no longer want, knowing that a loved one will get enjoyment from them.
This Mickey Mouse sequin Disney t-shirt is from Primark. The material is light and the t-shirt is loose, making it perfect for hot summer (or spring) days. One thing I’ve noticed when wearing this t-shirt is that when the light reflects off the sequins it reflects. This is problematic for me with my photosensitivity, so I need to be careful when and where I wear my sequin Disney t-shirt.
I’ve chosen to pair my sequin Disney t-shirt with cut off jeans. These were another find from the loft and I love them! New Look jeans fit my shape really well and are comfortable for me to wear. I tend to pick dark wash when I buy denim, as I find it looks a little smarter.
These white tennis shoes from New Look were picked up just before my knee operation in 2013. I needed comfortable flat shoes with a sole that would cushion my feet. I have to admit that I haven’t worn them much but I think they go really well with my sequin Disney t-shirt and dark wash jeans. The contrast of dark denim and white is a look I’ve always loved.
When it gets a bit cooler, I like to pop on my faux leather jacket from River Island. This is a staple piece in my wardrobe and goes with almost everything. I really don’t feel I can go wrong with this jacket, as you’ve probably guessed from how much I’ve included it in previous outfit posts. #SorryNotSorry.
What do you think of my sequin Disney t-shirt? What would you pair it with?
