2019 Project Pan Update 3

Wow! We’re three quarters of the way through the year already. Christmas is fast approaching and so is the end of the year. With that, brings the end of this year’s project pan! I’m getting ahead of myself a little, but I’m rather excited for this Christmas, as I was really unwell last year and feel I missed out in many ways as a result. But before I get ahead of myself, do all my Christmas shopping and set the tree up, I have my 2019 project pan update 3 to share with you all!

2019 Project Pan Introduction, 2019 Project Pan Update 1, 2018 Project Pan Update 3

All products marked with * have been gifted to me for consideration. More information can be found in my full disclaimer.

2019 Project Pan Update 3: The Body Shop Raspberry Lip Balm – Finished 25/7/19

If you’ve read my The Body Shop Raspberry Lip Balm Review, you’ll know how much I enjoy this product. I put it into my project to encourage myself to use it more and it’s worked. The scent and feel of this lip balm added some much needed self care moments in to every day. After finishing this lip balm, I opted to use the Passionberry version. I think I’ll be using these as my lip balm of choice, alternating between the two scents.

I forgot that this Raspberry lip balm was part of my project pan, so threw the pot away. So instead, I’ll show you how much of my Passionberry lip balm I’ve used up.

2019 Project Pan Update 3: Perfume Samples – 23/23

I’m pleased to say that I’ve finished up my perfume samples!

Over these past three months, I used up the following:

Love it:

– Lancome La Vie Est Belle

– Thierry Mugeler Angel

– Vera Wang Princess

Like it:

– Thierry Mugeler Angel Aqua Chic

Not for me:

– Givenchy Dahlia Noir L’Eau

5 empty perfume samples are lying in a white star dish. Under the paper is an open magazine, showing a close up of a woman's face.

While previously I’ve felt that Vera Wang Princess was a ‘like it’ scent rather than a ‘love it’, I kept coming back to it. After seeing the affordable price, I decided to treat myself to a bottle as my everyday fragrance.

I’ve got two other perfumes that I’d like to use up. However, I prefer to spend the last quarter of the year with a little more variety – it’s party season after all! Usually this is in relation to makeup, but I think the sentiment stands with perfume as well.

2019 Project Pan Update 3: No7 Exfoliator and Hydrating Mask

I have to admit that I haven’t used either of these in the past 3 months. So there’s not progress since my last update. I need to try harder to include a weekly facial in my skincare routine, particularly as we’re going into the colder months where my skin needs a little extra help.

2019 Project Pan Update 3: Simply Pure Hydrating Serum – Finished 9/7/19

I love this serum. While I haven’t done a weekly facial recently, I have been using this twice a day and it’s made such a difference to my skin. This is my go-to facial serum and having it in this project has really helped me to use it regularly again and take a little more care of my skin.

2019 Project Pan Update 3: John Frieda Frizz Ease Serum

I haven’t used up as much as I would like of my Frizz Ease Serum. I’m going to persevere, but I don’t think I’ll have it finished by the end of the year. I’d like to work through it and move it out of my haircare routine, as I prefer hair oils.

2019 Project Pan Update 3: Benefit Porefessional

Despite wearing makeup more regularly, I often find I forget to use my Benefit Porefessional, or I’m pushed for time an it’s the first thing to drop from my routine. So I haven’t made much progress and I definitely won’t have finished this by the end of the year. But, I’ve made some progress and I’m happy with this.

2019 Project Pan Update 3: Collection Highlighting Concealer

I feel like this is a difficult product to having in a project pan because there’s no way of knowing how much is left or how much has been used up. What I can say is that I’ve worn makeup more in the past 3 months than I did in the first half of the year. So I’ve made more progress, I just don’t know how much.

2019 Project Pan Update 3: L’Oreal Colour Riche Lip Gloss in Molto Mauve

This is the same as the Collection Highlighting Concealer – I’ve no idea how much I’ve used up or how much is left. I’ve enjoyed using this lip gloss. It’s a great colour for me on an every day basis. However, while I’ve enjoyed using it, I’ve found that I’ve been reaching for a cream finish lipstick more. So I’ve decided to switch this lip gloss out, in favour of a cream lipstick.

2019 Project Pan Update 3: Lancome Colour Fever Lipstick in Walk The Catwalk Brown

This was one of the first lipsticks I bought. I got it for my graduation, but at the time felt the colour was too much for me to pull off. So I dabbed it on sparingly. Over the years, I’ve experimented with different colours, intensities and textures of lipstick and have come back to this one time and time again.

When I haven’t been using my L’Oreal Colour Riche Lip Gloss, this is the lip colour I’ve been reaching for. There isn’t much left, so my aim is to have it finished by the end of 2019. While trying to use it up, I’ll also be searching for an alternative, because this range has been discontinued.

Any recommendations for creme lipsticks (not MAC because I’m allergic to their ingredients) would be greatly appreciated.

2019 Project Pan Update 3: Browhaus Classic Brow Lead*

With only using this brow product in the body of my eyebrows, I didn’t expect to work through it quickly. I’ve also been trying out the Maybelline Tattoo Brow Waterproof Gel Review, which I like for giving more volume to my brows and for it’s speed and ease of application. So while I don’t think I’ll manage to use up the Browhaus Classic Brow Lead before the end of the year, I’m pleased with the progress I’ve made so far.

If you want to know more about this brow product, including why I’m only using it in the body of my brows, check out my Browhaus Classic Brow Lead Review.

2019 Project Pan Update 3: Dr PawPaw Pinky Peach Balm

If you’ve read my Dr PawPaw original balm review, you’ll know that this is a firm favourite of mine. But I just haven’t got on as well with the coloured versions. They don’t sit well on my oddly shaped/pigmented lips and I have enough creme blushers for it to feel unnecessary to use them as a blush shade. So I’ll be spending the next three months using this new Pinky Peach balm on my heels, to keep rough skin at bay. As it’ll be socks weather, no one will see my feet with pinky peach stain on the heels!
