Ok, so you might be thinking that I’ve lost the plot, but hear me out. Why would you be wearing a t-shirt in December? It’s cold! That may be so, but if you work in retail, or a similar job where you’re constantly on the go and getting hot and sweaty whether it’s August or December, then Christmas T-Shirts will start to make a lot more sense to you.

One of the retail companies I worked for had a couple of ‘Christmas Jumper’ days in the lead up to Christmas to raise money for charity. This sounds great, but it filled me with dread! As well as it being a physical job where I was on my feet constantly and got very hot, I was experiencing symptoms that I now know to be caused my PoTS. One of the triggers for my PoTS is the heat. So you can imagine that the idea of Christmas Jumper Day was not very appealing to me. That is, until I found myself in Primark one day.
Primark sell Christmas t-shirts! As soon as I saw them, I knew my worries about Christmas Jumper Day were over! Primary changes their stock every year, so I thought I would share with you the Christmas t-shirts I got a couple of years ago, to give you an idea of how you can style them to take the stress of overheating out of Christmas Jumper Day! This year, I’ve seen some Christmas t-shirts on New Look’s website too.

I’ve loaned both t-shirts to my Mum, who is a classroom teacher for her Christmas Jumper Day, as she gets very hot teaching Early Years.
The first way I’ve styled a Christmas t-shirt is one that I wore a lot during my days in retail, with both the t-shirts I’m showing you. This outfit consists of black boots and leggings, a black skirt, my elf style Christmas t-shirt and a black cardigan.
When I wore this to work, I had black shoes (seen in the next outfit) rather than boots. Boots were just too hot for me to work in, but I wanted you to be able to see how the boots look. The beauty of a Christmas t-shirt is that you can wear a cardigan while you’re cold and when you warm up, you can take it off. An alternative would be to wear a Christmas jumper over your Christmas t-shirt.

My second way to style a Christmas t-shirt may not be suitable for a work environment, but it’s perfect for a relaxed social event. Here, I’ve chosen a comfortable pair of shoes, a pair of jeans and my faux leather jacket.

Save The Children’s Christmas Jumper Day is on Friday 16th December.
Have you considered a Christmas t-shirt instead of a jumper? Which of these two t-shirts do you prefer?

I would consider a xmas t-shirt instead of of a jumper, since here it is cold only at night and we have a sunny medium hot weather on day. So sometimes wearing a jumper is too much and I go with a nice long-sleeved t-shirt. The elf one is so cute!! x

Yay! A Christmas t-shirt would be perfect for you then. We had Christmas one year with family in Cyprus. It was very surreal as the weather felt like spring. Xx
I love the Elf t-shirt!

You’ve done so well on your Blogmas posts!! Loving them all. That elf t-shirt is brilliant! x
Thank you so much Leah! I’m getting a little nervous as I now only have 3 posts scheduled. Fingers crossed I can keep going and complete the full 24 days. Xx
I’m all or xmas T-shirts. As much as i love my xmas jumpers I tend to wear them for 5 mins before i overheat! I had a reindeer primark t-shirt for xmas day this year and it was perfect as we were at my grans who always has her heating on full blast as we were doing all the cooking and running around. My only regret is not wearing shorts as I was still roasting! I love the Elf Tshirt you’ve got. I love the details on it x
Yes! It’s awful getting too hot and trying to push through it because you don’t want to take your jumper off. Primark are on fire with their Christmas t-shirts. I’ve seen a few other places selling them, but they only have one or two designs. Shorts and t-shirt sound like a great idea for such a hot environment! Xx
