Tints Of Nature Dry Shampoo Review

As a child & teenager, aerosol’s set my asthma off. Gettng changed after PE was a nightmare, as the majority of the time, someone would decide to use a body spray, sending me into a full blown asthma attack. Mum used to have to close her bedroom door when she used hairspray so as not to affect me. Luckily, I’ve grown out of this trigger, but I still like to minimise the amount of aerosol products I use. So I was very excited when I found out that the Tints Of Nature Dry Shampoo * is aerosol free!

First of all, I love the packaging! The Tints Of Nature Dry Shampoo has a moveable nozzle, which I found really handy. My wrists are one of the areas most affected by my EDS, so sometimes using a standard spray bottle is difficult or impossible because I can’t safely move my wrists into a certain position. The moveable pump makes this so much easier & would very likely be a benefit to people with restricted movement in upper bodies.

As well as the nozzle being environmentally friendly, the product itself is made with 99.5% natural, certified organic ingredients & is gluten free. From what I can see from the ingredients, it’s also wheat free, which is important for me as this is one of my main allergens. The packaging is travel friendly, particularly for airplane travel because of the non-aerosol pump.

I’ve only ever used one non-aerosol product, a hairspray with a pump bottle. As this was a liquid product, I was expecting the same from the Tints Of Nature Dry Shampoo. So you can imagine my surprise when out came powder!

I found I had to use a lot of the Tints Of Nature Dry Shampoo for it to have enough of an effect. I don’t think I would get the 100+ uses out of the bottle that it claims. The powder also wasn’t affective enough for my to put my hair in a bun afterwards, as this still looked greasy. I was able to plait my hair & it look ok though, so it did work just not quite as well as some of the other dry shampoos I’ve tried. Unfortunately, the powder didn’t come out with the same consistency each time, which made application harder. This improved for a bit after I shook it a bit, but after a few pumps less was coming out again & I can’t keep shaking a container with my EDS. Initially I ended up with small patches of grey in my hair & it took some effort to get them out, again this is something I found hard to do because of the pain in my upper body.

So my overall thoughts is that this is a good option if you want something aerosol free, with a moveable nozzle or natural & organic.
