I turn 30! Can you believe it!?! So to celebrate, I thought I would share with you 30 things I’ve learnt in 30 years of life.

1. People make mistakes, life goes on
2. It’s ok to ask for help
3. Perfection exists only in the dictionary!
4. Nothing lasts forever. Good things come to an end, as do bad ones. Enjoy the ride!
5. Preparation is key
6. That other people’s opinions of you say more about them than they do about you
7. Expert patients are often more knowledgable & helpful than doctors
8. The world doesn’t come to an end if you do something wrong or don’t finish something in time
9. How to compensate for my difficulties
10. (Almost) Every cloud has a silver lining
11. Don’t let someone tell you that you can’t or won’t achieve your dreams
12. The weather forecast is often wrong
13. There is usually more than one solution to every problem
14. If something is worth doing, it’s worth doing well
15. That there are some really ignorant & inconsiderate people out there

16. To be gracious in defeat
17. That how ever much I screw up, my friends & family will always be there to support me & help me put things right
18. Don’t sweat the small stuff
19. Life is rarely simple
20. People are so much nicer about making accommodations when they can see what’s wrong with you.
21. You can never fully understand what someone else is going through
22. A good GP is worth their weight in gold
23. Don’t compare yourself to others
24. There are some very bad people in this world
25. Some people lie. These people don’t care what their lies cost others. These are very bad people.
26. You could be the juiciest, ripest peach, but there will always be someone who doesn’t like peaches!
27. No matter how hard you try, there are some things you will never be able to do, & that’s ok!
28. There are some truly remarkable people out there who are kind, caring & supportive. I’m very lucky to have some of them as my friends & family
29. I can make a difference
30. Life begins at 30!

Love it! Esp 26 & 30! Re 12, so you live in the UK? Lol x
Thanks Alisha! Haha What was the giveaway with no. 12!?! Xx
I live in London & though we’re always talking about the weather, the forecast is never right lol. I thought ‘Tania and I must be neighbours lol. but it’s a deep lesson too! if the weather forecast is often wrong, then why fuss over what the weather might be like? :)
Haha, nope! I’m up in the West Midlands. I think the UK’s ability to forecast the weather is just rather poor! Xx
Happy birthday! We had the same balloons for my room mate’s 30th birthday :)

It’s such a shame that there are some truly horrible people out there. Luckily they are a minority. XX

I feel like I really came into my own in my thirties. In my 20s I was a wreck! Happy birthday!
I’m so glad your 30s have been better than your 20s. I’m hoping mine will be the same. Xx
I love this list – I still struggle with some of it but perhaps that’ll change when I turn 30 next year. Hope you had a great birthday!
