I was introduced to Bell Cosmetics by the lovely people at Beauty Crown, during the Catalyst PR Event I attended. I was very excited to get to try some of their products because of the hypoallergenic claim. One of these items was the Bell Hypoallergenic Moisturising Lipstick *. When I went through the ingredients of the five products I had been given, I thought Bell may be the first company I’d come across who’s claims of being hypoallergenic I would agree with. Unfortunately, as I read more of their ingredients in research for writing this post I found this not to be the case. I’m quite disappointed as I thought I’d stumbled upon a gem, but the inclusion of horse chestnut, wheat, lanolin & citric acid is some of their products says otherwise. As you may know, I react to something within some lip products & I’m on the hunt to find out what. You can read about this journey in my Ingredients Elimination post.
I got to choose from 2 pink shades & went for No. 08, as it’s different to anything I own. I like the sleek, black packaging & that it is light in weight, even for a lipstick!
The formula is soft, similar to to the Rimmel Moisture Renue lipsticks. It applies smoothly & is comfortable to wear. The shade is beautiful, with a lovely semi-opaque finish & a sheen to it. Generally, I find these type of lipsticks the most comfortable to wear. I experienced no reaction whilst wearing the lipstick or overnight (I can sometimes wear a lip product with no problem but wake up the next morning with my lips peeling!).
Unfortunately, Beauty Crowd don’t have the is lipstick available to purchase on their website. On a positive note, every product I’ve looked at on their site has offered the opportunity to view a full ingredients list. This makes life so much easier for me & everyone else with allergies. As a result, I know I’ll be placing an order (they stock Milani, Jordana, Freedom, Fairy Drops & many more!).
A good lip pencil for this lipstick is the Makeup Store Lip Pencil in Pink Soda.

I fell in love with the colour too Andrew! The hypoallergenic claim has put me off the brand somewhat, silly I know. I’ll have to make a point of buying more from the brand, as the lipstick is lovely! Xx

Bit gutted the ingredients don’t live up to the expectation of ‘hypoallergenic’ so I’m very surprised to read that despite this, you’ve been fine using the lipstick. It’s a very light and pink colour which I can imagine looks perfect on you. xx
