Apologies for being a little MIA. I know a few posts went up during my holiday, but I’ve been rather quiet other than that. The reason for this was that Dan & I went on holiday. I thought that, to get back into the blogging groove & to make up for my absence, I’d post about our holiday Monday-Friday in a ‘day in the life’ style. Keep reading to find out what happened on Center Parcs Day 1 & check out my Day 2, Day 3 & Day 4 posts!

So…
We went on holiday to the Center Parcs in Longleat. Originally we had planned to go to Tenerife, but the Travel Agent couldn’t guarantee that the hotel could accommodate for my allergies to the extent we were happy with. We wanted to go the Tenerife for their water park. With their Subtropical Swimming Paradise (subsequently referred to as ‘pool’) Center Parcs was the obvious alternative!
We arrived at Center Parcs at 12:30 on Monday (you can only enter & leave Monday & Friday). We had access to our apartment from 3pm so made tracks to the pool. There are five different areas, so no chance of getting bored! I’ll go into more detail about the pool in a subsequent post with some pics when the film from the disposable waterproof camera comes back.
At 3pm we drove down to our apartment, unloaded & unpacked. It was a lovely little place, very comfortable & with everything we needed! It was also perfectly located, being a stone’s throw away from the Plaza which housed the pool, the eateries & a number of shops with a vast array products, from ‘Parc Mart’ (a mini supermarket) to ‘The Store Room’ (a gift shop with many cute & quirky items).

Our apartment was #12 ‘The Pinewoods’

Our dining space in the open plan kitchen/lounge. The only place in the apartment that didn’t really work – we struggled to get our legs under the table!

The Lounge & balcony

I loved this TV unit with it’s specific design for the speakers, DVD player, etc.

My dressing table – I was VERY excited about this!

Dan & I had a nap, a shower & then went out for dinner. We found a great restaurant called Huck’s American Bar & Grill (click on the link for my review) & we ate there every night!
We had a wonderful time & I can’t wait to share more with you all! Have you been to Center Parcs? Which one(s)?
