Fashion Targets Breast Cancer 2016

Cancer is something that I think is safe to say will affect everyone. Whether it’s you who becomes ill yourself, or a family member, friend, or colleague, no one is safe from this horrible illness. When I was 13, I was very poorly with my basilar type migraine & there was a period of time when I wasn’t able to go to school. I spent the mornings at my Nanna’s whole my Mum went to work. During this time, my Great Aunt was very poorly & being treated for breast cancer. She moved in so my Nanna could care for her. It was horrible seeing her so poorly. She died as a result of her breast cancer. There are so many conditions that we need research into, such as Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Multiple Sclerosis & cancer. Shopping the Fashion Targets Breast Cancer 2016 collection is one way you can support & provide vital funds for Breast Cancer Now’s vital research.

    • I was surprised how long it’s been going too. It actually started in the US a couple of years earlier & then came over here! I’d have thought I would have heard about it growing up, but I didn’t know it existed until a couple of years ago. Xx

  1. I’m so sorry for your loss :( I also lost an Aunt to cancer a few years ago :(

More companies should definitely do collaborations like these! That way you can buy something good and put money to a good cause :)

    • Thank you! I’m sorry for your loss too. <3

I completely agree! Charity collaborations are a fantastic way to raise funds, as well as getting people into stores, where they will likely brows & pick up other things to buy. It's a win/win situation! Xx

  2. I lost my dad to stage 4 lung cancer 3 years ago :'( and my older sister’s friend has/had breast cancer, but she luckily caught it early and had to get her breast removed but was able to get reconstructive surgery to get them back…I also found out that a dear longtime family friend of ours has stage 3…it’s just a horrible, horrible disease…

    • I’m so sorry to hear this Hannah. I’m very glad that many more people are surviving due to earlier diagnosis, such as my Dad, who had skin cancer twice. We are still a long way from where we need to be though & I hope that research will be able to increase the survival rates higher & higher. It still makes me hugely upset & angry that my Grandad was incorrectly diagnosed with depression when in reality he was dying of lung cancer, which wasn’t identified until a junior doctor ran a routine blood test. Xx
