GOSH CCC Sticks Review – Contour, Cover, Conceal

You may have seen from my GOSH UK SS17 Collection post that GOSH have recently launched a new range of products for contouring, covering and concealing. The GOSH CCC Sticks *.

All products marked with * have been gifted to me for consideration. More information can be found in my full disclaimer.

There are 6 shades in the GOSH CCC Sticks range, all of which are cruelty free. I’ve used the highlight shade on my cheek bone and in the inner corner of my eye – with no creasing! I’ve found the GOSH CCC Sticks to be really easy to apply. They glide onto the skin beautifully and blend out with ease. As you’ll be able to see from the photos, the sticks are highly pigmented, but blend out to give a soft effect.

The GOSH CCC Sticks range contains two highlighters, one in 001 Vanilla and the other in 002 Golden. Vanilla is my favourite of all the GOSH CCC Sticks. It’s the perfect highlight shade for me. I really like Golden too, it strikes me as being similar in shade to Becca’s Champagne Pop highlighter. I’ve admired this highlighter from afar, but I’ve never been sure that the shade will suit me. So I’m going to experiment more with Golden and if I like it, I may invest in Champagne Pop for a powder version. Both highlighters give a beautiful soft glow to the skin. In addition to being cruelty free, the two highlighter shades are also vegan friendly.

The other four GOSH CCC Sticks are intended for concealing and contouring, depending on your skin colour and tone. 003 Light is perfect for my skin colour (light with yellow undertones). This will be a fantastic touch up option when I’m out an about, as it’s easy to pop in my bag and apply to small areas of my face as needed. 004 Medium is darker, but has pink undertones to it. I think it’s great that GOSH have included both pink and yellow tones. However, I find most people with particularly light skin are also pink toned so I’m surprised that they opted for pink for the darker shade and not yellow.

Here, I’ve used shade 1 for my highlight, shade 5 to contour with and Bobbi Brown’s Nude Pink as my blusher.

The two darker options are 005 Dark and 006 Very Dark. These would work well as a concealer product for those with darker (and warm) skin tones. I tried 005 Dark as a contour product, but found that on my skin tone it looked muddy. Both Dark and Very Dark are warm toned and I much prefer a cool contour shade. While the shade doesn’t suit me, I found the CCC Stick was easy to contour with. If you’ve got a warm, medium skin tone I think these would be a great contour option for you.

Shade 1 used to highlight the inner corner of my eyes.

I’d love to see GOSH develop their shade range in these sticks. A cool toned contour option and a wider range of shades to include those with darker skin, as well as particularly fair skin would be great. But I can completely understand that when launching a new product, any brand has to see if the product itself is going to be popular before offering a wide range of shade options.

Overall, I’ve been really impressed with the GOSH CCC Sticks. I love the two highlight shades and 003 Light. I know I’ll get a lot of wear out of them. As the darker three shades don’t suit me, I’ll be donating them to my husband to use for the school production.

The GOSH CCC Sticks retail for £9.99 each and can be purchased from Superdrug.com.

Have you tried any of the GOSH CCC Sticks? What do you think of them?

    • These were the first stick form highlight and contour products I’d tried too! I’ve got one of the Nars multiple sticks, but that’s the closest I’ve come to a crayon style product. I’ve been so impressed with them, it’s just a shame about the contour shades.

I’ve been up and down. Feeling like I constantly have to fight for the right care is taking it’s toll on me, particularly as my health is precarious at the moment. But I’ll manage. I’ve got a great support network of friends and family. Thank you so much for asking. Xx

    • I’d highly recommend them if the shades are right for you. I think you’d love the highlighters. GOSH really do have amazing products! Xx
