I’ve been intrigued about lip oils since seeing a few high end brands come out with them. I’ve not really looked too much into them though because, well, money! Enter the GOSH Lip Oil in Rose*!
All products marked with * have been gifted to me for consideration. More information can be found in my full disclaimer.
I was really excited to give the GOSH Lip Oil a try & I have to say, I wasn’t disappointed! Firstly the scent is amazing. It smells like a cross between Calpol & berries, though since having the lip oil open for about a month, this scent has become less strong.

The GOSH Lip Oil feels so soft on my lips. It’s on par with a lip balm in the way it softens, nourishes & hydrates my lips. This is because it contains four different oils & vitamin E. Not a fan of lip glosses? Never fear! These aren’t sticky AT ALL!!!! It bugs me when my hair sticks to my lip gloss or I’m talking & feel like my lips are sticking together, but the GOSH Lip Oil doesn’t feel like this at all. I sometimes find that lip glosses feel heavy or thick on my lips, but the lip oil feels light & extremely comfortable to wear.
The only draw back with the GOSH Lip Oil in Rose for me is that the colour is more subtle than I would ideally like. This is something that will depend not only on how pigmented you like your lip products to be, but also the pigmentation of your lips. I would say that the lip oil gives a smoother, more even look to your lips & a nice shine. Not too much & not too little. Because the colour is subtle, I wouldn’t have more than one of these at a time, as they would all look the same on me. I would always have one though, as they’re amazing!

The applicator of the GOSH Lip Oil is great. I love the doe foot style & this wand is very similar to that. The packaging is sleek & definitely something I would be happy to pull out for my bag to reapply.
Though I prefer lip glosses with some colour to them, I will definitely be reaching for the GOSH Lip Oil over a clear or lightly pigmented lip gloss from now on. I’ve been so impressed with how comfortable these are to wear.
There are 4 different shades in the GOSH Lip Oil range, which cost £7.49 for 4ml of product. You can buy them from Superdrug & superdrug.com.

This sounds lovely, I generally prefer a more subtle lip colour so it’d be perfect for me I think! :)

I’ve been really impressed! I love that, while it wouldn’t be my go-to choice pigmentation wise (which I can always fix by wearing it over a lipstick), it’s perfect for other people who prefer a subtle look. Xx
I actually prefer slightly more subtle lip colours, so this one would be perfect for me. :) I never tried a ‘lip oil’ before… I’m glad to hear that it’s not sticky as that is the main thing that always puts me off lip glosses and such! I do like GOSH as a brand, they’re quite affordable whilst the quality of their products is pretty amazing. :) I might take a look whether my local Supedrug has it to give it a try, thanks for your lovely review, darling! <3

I’ve been impressed with everything I’ve tried from GOSH! I love that, though my personal preference would be for a little more colour, this product caters perfectly for those who just want a sheen to their lips, while also moisturising. I know I’m going to get a lot of wear out of it on natural makeup days & am going to try it over lipstick too, though I’m not sure if the oil will break down the lipstick. Xx
I’ve never tried any lip oils at all but I’m with you on lip glosses. I rarely wear them for that very reason so this sounds like a good alternative! x
I’ve been really impressed! I’ll still wear lip gloss, but mostly just in the summer now when lipstick often feels too heavy on me. I’m going to experiment to see how a lipstick would hold up under this. I’m not sure if the oil will break it down, but it’s worth a try! Might be a good experiment to share on Snapchat. ;) Xx
I’d never heard of lip oils before, but they sound very intriguing. I want to get one now. Thanks for the recommendation.
