I was tagged on the 10th of July to do the 8 Photos Of Happiness TAG by the very lovely Sarah from Sarah In Wonderland. It’s taken me this long to post because a lot of the photos live at my parents’ house in Essex, so I had to wait until I went to visit them to bring you the best of the bunch!

My 18th birthday party! Photo features my sister & 2 cousins – 4/5 of The Spice Girls! (See below!)
Meet 4/5 of The Spice Girls! This was the summer my Mum, Dad, sister & I went to Germany to stay with my Aunt, Uncle & Cousins. My Aunt & Uncle are teachers & they were living & working on one of the Army bases. There was a stage in one of the parks we visited, so of cause we had to put on a show for our parents! We went to see Spice Girls The Movie & my Aunt fell asleep! Can you spot which one is me?
I was a Brownie, Guide, Ranger & Young Leader. I was also a Trainee Guide Leader for a while, but I had to put a hold on my training for a few reasons. This photo was from one of the Yearly Renewal Of Promise events where I carried the flag – a huge honour! I’m proud to say I was chosen to do this as a Brownie, Guide & Ranger! Guiding was a big part of my childhood & I’ve so many fantastic memories associated with it.
This was taken on one of the many picnics we went on as children. On one picnic, my sister was chased by a goose & my Dad had to put us both on top of the picnic table & shoo it away. By the look on my sister’s face, it may have been this picnic! Dad took photos with the cameras my Grandad left to him, it’s nice to have a photo of him using one. The lady in the photo is my Nanna, so Mum must have taken this shot.
This photo reminds me of all the holidays we spent in East-Harling, a little village in Norfolk. We went every summer & stayed with my Auntie Win (my Great Aunt). We would go round the corner to my Auntie Jean & Uncle Cec’s house (my other Great Aunt). We would walk into the village to the butchers & the health food shop my second cousin owned. We would take day trips out & saw some amazing wildlife! When we were younger, my sister & I called Norfolk ‘wheelie bin land’ because we didn’t have wheelie bins at home, so they were a novelty! I have very fond memories of those holidays & family members.
When I was 15 we spent Christmas in Cyprus. My Aunt & Uncle had moved there from Germany & were teaching on RAF Akrotiri. It was lovely for my Nanna to spend Christmas with all her 4 children together. We stayed in my Aunt & Uncle’s friends’ house on base & had a fantastic time! This photo was taken on Christmas Eve on the beach, where we’d had lunch & played rounders! Ft. 4/5 of The Spice Girls (again!).
This was taken about a month after my niece was born. I was really poorly & this photo always reminds me that what ever you’re going through, there are still good things happening. She is one of the most precious things in my life.
There had to be one of Dan & I in here somewhere, didn’t there!?! This was taken at my brother’s wedding.
I’ve some other photos I want to share with you, but I’ll save them for a separate post!
