At the #WestMidlandsBloggerMeet, I met the lovely Gemma, the owner of SkinSincere. Gemma is fantastic! Her knowledge of allergies was impressive & she understands from personal experience the difficulty of caring for eczema prone skin. I was lucky enough to sample four products from the SkinSincere line & wanted to share my thoughts with you!

Let’s start with a little about the brand. Gemma started SkinSincere in 2013. One of the key motivations for he brand was that it would be an ethical one. As a result, all ingredients are natural & organic, contain no parabens or sulfates & are 100% cruelty free. Even the packaging is made from recycled plastic!
Incase you don’t already know, I have dry, sensitive skin that’s prone to eczema. So my thoughts will be based around my skin type.
The Aloe Vera Range
I got to try the Aloe Vera Body Lotion (£12.95)* & the Aloe Vera Facial Cleanser (£12.95)*. I’ve never been a fan of aloe vera, but the scent of the products was light & not off putting in any way. The consistency was also light. The body lotion wasn’t at all tacky on the skin, so would be perfect or summer for those with normal skin. It wasn’t quite hydrating enough for my preference, particularly as we’re going into the colder months.
The Unscented Range
I got to try the Gentle Body Lotion (£11.95)* & the Unscented Clarifying Cleanser (£11.95)*. Both the body lotion & the cleanser are thicker in consistency than the aloe vera range. There was a mild scent to both products, that was light & clean, which there is supposed to be in natural products. The body lotion would be ideal for me in the summer, but probably not thick enough for my dry skin in the winter. I was really impressed with the cleanser too. The first day I used it, my skin was extremely dry & I had a flaky patch on my forehead. The cleanser felt extremely moisturising &, after first use, my forehead feels soothed. By the next day, there was a marked improvement in the dryness on my forehead! I would highly recommend this cleanser to anyone with dry skin.

It’s such a shame you have a nut allergy, otherwise the Coconut Shea Butter would have been perfect for your dry eczema prone skin, as it’s much thicker and more hydrating. I’ve never heard of this brand before but we have a similar skin type so I really like the sound of these, especially the unscented cleanser as I can’t use anything with perfume on my face. Thanks for sharing! xx

I love that you included the ingredients, I need to try these, especially the cleansers!
