Raspberry Kiss Jewellery

For those of you who are regulars to my blog, you’ll probably know that I’m a big fan of jewellery! A long time I was resigned to only being able to wear gold or silver jewellery because of my allergies. Don’t get me wrong, I do love dainty pieces, but I would always admire more statement pieces. I received a statement necklace for my birthday one year & I couldn’t bear to not wear it, so I did! Luckily I had no problems & have since branded out into other statement pieces. So when my friend & fellow blogger Shannon from Raspberry Kiss got in touch with me about reviewing some some of the Raspberry Kiss jewellery she is now selling on her blog, I jumped at the chance!

Shannon sent me four of her pieces & I love them all! Everything in her shop retails between £1.50-£6, which I think is absolutely fantastic. There really is a products to suit everyone at a price that’s too good to miss. I chose the Black Triangle Pendant Necklace, Black Triangle Stud Earrings, Gold Coloured Leaf Earrings & the Resizable Sugar Skull Ring. Black Triangle Pendant Necklace* £2

I picked this necklace with the dress pictured in mind. I really love this dress & like wearing necklaces, but find a dainty necklace can get lost in the pattern. The black triangle stands out against the dress because of the gold edging around it & I’m really pleased to have this combination! I know I’m going to get lots of wear out of this necklace, both with this dress & with other outfits.

Black Triangle Stud Earrings* £2

These are the first pair of non-precious metal earnings I have picked out. Since having my ears pierced my Mum has installed in me that I need to wear gold or silver earrings to avoid an allergic reaction. I loved that I would be able to wear these with the necklace or apart & thought they would also go really well with my dress. I haven’t worn them properly yet, as I only intend on wearing them while out. I I haven’t had any problems when I tried them on, so I think for short periods of time they’ll be fine for my delicate ears. The only think I would say is that one of the posts on the earrings is slightly wonky. This has no impact on how they sit in your ears. I did notice that there are some bubble under the black part of the earrings & necklace. Most are small & only noticeable for looking, but one of the earrings has slightly bigger bubbles. You’d still need to be looking quite closely to notice, but they might not be for you if you think that’s something that may bother you.

Gold Coloured Leaf Necklace* £2

This necklace is rose gold in colour & sits higher than the Black Triangle Necklace. It’s more along the lines of my usual delicate pieces & I love it. I don’t have many rose gold pieces & no necklaces, so this was the ideal piece for me. I was initially concerned when the necklace arrived because when you hold it to put it on the leaf sits horizontally, rather than vertically as it would sit on your chest. I thought it would end up turning round to the non-patterned side a lot when wearing because of this, but that didn’t happen once!

Resizeable Skull Ring* £3

I saw this ring & immediately thought of my sister. She loves sugar skulls & I love her style! The size of the ring is ideal, not too big that it becomes obstructive in your day-to-day life & not too small that you loose the details of the skull. I also really like that the ring is resizable. Buying costume rings can be difficult with sizing, usually with 3 or 4 size options being available, which can leave you with a ring that is either a little too big, a little too small, or you have to wear it on a finger you wouldn’t normally to get a better fit. With buying on the internet, this problem is even bigger as you can’t test the different sizes to see which is most suitable. The resizable nature of the sugar skill ring means that this isn’t an issue & you can still wear the ring if you put on or loose weight!
