Superdrug Simply Pure Skincare: Brand Overview

Having had to stop working because of reducing my medication, & having very little no spare money to buy toiletries, I’ve made a conscious effort  to drastically reduce the cost of products I buy to make the very little money I still have go further. Ting from The Ting Thing introduced me to the Superdrug Simply Pure Hydrating Serum & I was so impressed with it & it’s price point that I just HAD start my search for affordable skincare with other products in the Superdrug Simply Pure skincare range!

Superdrug Simply Pure Conditioning Cleanser £2.69

I’ve been really impressed with this cleanser. It’s not as rich as the La Roche Posay Physiological Cleansing Milk(which you can read more about in my Skincare Staples post), but it’s also a fraction of the price! I’m also not sure if you can still get the Physiological Cleansing Milk, as I can’t find it on the website. The Simply Pure Conditioning Cleanser is soft & soothing to my dry, eczema prone skin. It works really well to cleanse my skin.

Superdrug Simply Pure Light Moisturiser for Sensitive Skin £2.69

Having used the La Roche Posay Hydraphase Moisturiser (which you can read more about in my Skincare Staples post) for quite a while, I was concerned that I wouldn’t be able to find a good moisturiser at an affordable price. How wrong I was! Again, the Simply Pure Light Moisturiser isn’t quite as moisturising, but it’s not far off! The consistency is a little thinner than the La Roche Posay. It has a cooling feel to it & leaves my skin feeling soft & hydrated. My skin has been very slightly dryer than with the La Roche Posay, but that may just be the weather as I switched to the Simply Pure Moisturiser mid autumn.

Superdrug Simply Pure Hydrating Serum £2.69

Serums are pricy. I never expected to be able to find a serum for under £5, let alone one that works so well! The Simply Pure Hydrating Serum feels soft. It’s got more of a thin texture than many I’ve tried, but this just makes it easier to apply without drawing the skin. My skin always feels soft & smooth after using the Hydrating Serum. I use this once a week & it really sets my skin up for the week ahead.

Having tried & loved three products from the Superdrug Simply Pure line, I’d also love to try the Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover, Smoothing Face Scrub & the Micellar Water.

In addition to the already fantastic price point, Superdrug regularly have a By 1 get 2nd 1/2 price offer on their own skincare products, which makes it the perfect time to stock up or try a new product! All the products in the range are fragrance-free, hypoallergenic (read my What does it mean post to find out more about this claim), dermatologically approved, cruelty-free & vegan!
