Fancy A Retweet? Twitter Retweet Accounts

Trying to extend the reach of your blog? Twitter retweet accounts can help you get your posts seen by more people & as a result, gain followers & subscribers. It takes time to compile a list of accounts that will share your content, so I thought I’d give you a helping hand & share my list with you!

It’s worth noting that accounts require different things for you to be eligible for a RT & that not all RT accounts will share all posts. Check out individual profiles for specific details. For example, I set up the @SpoonieBloggers account for bloggers with chronic illness. The account will RT all tweets from people who follow the account & include #spooniebloggers in their tweet.

This is by no means an exhaustive list, but I hope you find it useful. The named accounts have a range of follower counts & there are pros & cons to using each. As everyone’s blogs & needs are different, I’ll leave you to be the judge of which will help your content reach your desired audience best.

Do make sure that the accounts you include are relevant to the post you are tweeting about – fashion bloggers are likely to be unimpressed by a post about what the new toy you bought your toddler.

For my own tweets, I like to include an image, as it gets the tweet noticed more easily. I also choose to include no more than three RT accounts in a tweet. Each to their own, but I find it looks cluttered & takes away from the message of the tweet itself.

RT accounts are popping up all the time, so keep your eyes peeled so you don’t miss out on something that could be perfect for your blog. No account for your geographical or subject area? Start one up!
