I’ve never used a hair oil before, so when I received the Revlon Orofluido Asia Zen Control Elixir * at the Catalyst PR Event I went to, I was a little nervous of using it – with my curly hair I do tend to end up with excess frizz if I’m not careful!
All products marked with * have been gifted to me for consideration. More information can be found in my full disclaimer.
There was no need for me to be concerned though. The elixir claims to give “exceptional frizz control, elasticity & smoothness” – it certainly lived up to this! My frizz was kept under control beautifully.
I have been having problems with dry ends, through being died too much. I thought my recent hair cut would solve this. It didn’t. I never expected that this hair elixir would do the trick & restore my hair to it’s soft, smooth condition! I’m assuming this is mainly the work of the rice oil in the elixir. I love that rice is being used rather than wheat, which is a more common allergen.
The lightweight elixir has a sweet scent to it, that doesn’t overwhelm & wafts back to you during the day as you move around. It’s a soft, fruity floral scent that has a touch of vanilla to it.
The only thing I would change about this product is that it comes in a glass bottle. While this feels very luxurious, I worry that it will fall of the shelf & break or I will drop it when my hands are wet (as I’m rather clumsy like that!
I’m so pleased with this product, particularly the way it helped my dry ends. I was honestly thinking I was going to have to have them chopped off!
The Orofluido Asia Zen Control Elixir (25ml)* can be purchased from Revlon Professional salons & online for £9.

I love hair oils, I only use them when I remember but I like applying oil to my ends.

I use serum religiously after washing/conditioning my hair otherwise I have a frizz halo, so remembering to use it hasn’t been an issue for me. Which oils would you recommend? I’d love to try more! Xx

I can 100% recommend it Emily! I love everything about the packaging other than that it worries me incase I drop it! Saying that, the glass is pretty thick, so the chances of it breaking are probably small! Xx
