Wow! How are we half way through 2019?! This year has flown by, possibly because my memory of the first three months is hazy at best. Still, half way through the year means half way through my project pan, so it’s time for me to update you on how I’m getting on with using up some of my products in my 2019 project pan update 2! It’s very much a mixed bag, but I’m making progress and that’s what matters.

All products marked with * have been gifted to me for consideration. More information can be found in my full disclaimer.
2019 Project Pan: Perfume Samples – 9/23
I’ve particularly enjoyed working on using up my perfume samples! I’d discovered some more scents that I love, as well as some that just don’t suit me. I’m loving sharing my perfume sample progress over on my Instagram Stories!

2019 Project Pan: No7 Exfoliator and Hydrating Mask
I’ve maybe done two more intensive skincare routines in the past three months. I just don’t have the time or the energy. When I do get 5 minutes to myself, I prefer to try and make some progress with my blog, social media or setting up the sling library. There’s only so much I can do and I’m definitely overstretched at the moment. I need to learn the word ‘No’ and use it! Still, it’s about prioritising what’s important to me and, at the moment, other things take priority over a weekly more intensive skincare routing. And there’s nothing wrong with this.

2019 Project Pan: Simply Pure Serum
So, while I haven’t made much headway with my once-a-week skincare products, I have made significant progress in using up my Simply Pure Serum as part of my daily skincare routing. The first three months of 2019 I rarely managed to do an evening skincare routine. But the past three months it’s been an almost daily occurrence. I’m not sure whether being able to do an evening skincare routine is because my mental health has improved or that an improvement in my mental health has meant that I’m able to do a regular evening skincare routine. I suspect it’s a combination of the two – medication improved my mental health, which allowed me to do more self care things (including an evening skincare routine), which in turn has improved my mental heath.
I suspect this serum will be used up within a month.

2019 Project Pan: Natural World Brazilian Keratin Hair Oil* – Ruined 26/04/19
Ugh. Lassie ended up getting the top off my Brazilian Keratin Hair Oil and tipped it out all over the bathroom floor. At least she didn’t drink it. I really like the Natural World Hair Oils. You can read more about them in my Natural World Hair Oil Review post.
In it’s place, I added my John Frieda Frizz Ease Serum into my project pan. This was 2/3 full at the time, but I wasn’t able to take a photo before starting it.

2019 Project Pan: John Frieda Frizz Ease Serum – Started 2/05/19
I’ve found that I prefer hair oil to serum, so I’m wanting to use up my last John Frieda Frizz Ease Serum. I’m aiming to have finished this up by the end of 2019.
2019 Project Pan: Anatomicals Don’t Loose Your Cherry Lip Balm* – Finished 30/04/19
If you’ve read my Anatomicals Lip Balms Review post, you’ll know that Don’t Loose Your Cherry is one of my favourite lip balms! This is one I will definitely be repurchasing once I’ve finished my other lip balms up.
Once I’d finished my Don’t Use Your Cherry lip balm, I went back to my The Body Shop Raspberry lip balm, which I’d started working on earlier in the year.

2019 Project Pan: Superdrug Emoji Lip Balm*
When it came to taking photos for this update, I couldn’t find my The Body Shop Raspberry Lip Balm. So, I decided to continue working on my Superdrug Emoji lip balm until it turned up. Which happened about 5 minutes after I’d finished taking my photos. Still, I might work on my Emoji lip balm while the weather is lovely and my lips aren’t chapped, split and sore from the cold weather (when they need something more nourishing).
2019 Project Pan Update 2: The Body Shop Raspberry Lip Balm
I’ve made good progress with my Raspberry lip balm, but not as mush as I’d anticipated. Previously I’ve used a The Body Shop lip balm up in 3 months, so I know that I’ll have finished this by my next update. The Body Shop Raspberry Lip Balm is another of my favourite lip balms, find out more in my The Body Shop Born Lippy Lip Balm Review. I have very fond memories of getting my first one as a teenager from airport duty free, on a school band trip to America.

2019 Project Pan: Collection Highlighting Concealer
It’s so nice to be using this concealer again! I’d forgotten just how much I enjoy it. Since Lissie has been born, I’ve had time to do a full face of makeup on maybe two occasions and only for significant family events. Before I started wearing a base product (usually my MAC MSF Natural), I used highlighting concealers as they reduced the look of my dark under eyes without looking obvious that I’d used concealer but not a base product.
Something I’ve been working on as part of my ‘Mummy self care’ has been wearing makeup on a semi-regular basis. This routine consists of mascara, eyebrows, lip gloss and my Collection Highlighting Concealer. This combination helps me to feel ‘put together’ in a short amount of time.

2019 Project Pan Update 2: L’Oreal Skin Perfection Balm – Finished 4/5/19
Another thing that I’ve been trying to do is use a perfecting balm on no makeup days, to help my skin look just a little bit better. I’ve found it difficult to do this on a daily basis, but I’ve done well enough to finish up my L’Oreal Skin Perfection Balm, which I’m pleased with.
For me, this is just an ok product. I’m lucky that, other than eczema and a bit of redness in my cheeks, I don’t have problematic skin. So, I won’t be repurchasing.
I’ve replaced my L’Oreal balm with my Benefit Porefessional.

2019 Project Pan Update 2: L’Oreal Colour Riche Lip Gloss in Molto Mauve
I really enjoy this colour. It’s a great ‘my lips or better’ shade. It’s comfortable to wear and easy to apply on the go. Because of the packaging, I can’t see how much product I’ve used up. But, I’ve worn it fairly regularly and am hoping I’ll manage to use it up by the end of this year.

2019 Project Pan Update 2: Know Cosmetics No Bare Brows* – Finished 1/6/19
There wasn’t much product left in my Know Cosmetics No Bare Brows. Well, at least in the pencil part. I’f you’ve read my Know Cosmetics No Bare Brows review, you’ll know that while I really like the colour this pencil gives, I didn’t get on with the wax section.
I’ve replaced this with the NYX Micro Brow Pencil and love it, so won’t be repurchasing the Know Cosmetics No Bare Brows.
2019 Project Pan Update 2: Browhaus Classic Brow Lead*
I’ve made more progress with the Browhaus Classic Brow Lead than I was expecting. Unfortunately, this is largely because the product inside the pencil has broken and on a few occasions has fallen out when I’ve sharpened it. Although I’m only using this pencil in the body of my brows because it’s not a great colour for the space tails of my brows, I’d ideally like to have it finished by the end of the year. You can find out more about this in my Browhaus Classic Brow Lead Review.
