With my dry, eczema prone skin, finding a lip balm that works for all seasons has been a really mission. I came across the Anatomicals Stop Cracking Up lip balm in Selfridges a few years ago and fell in love. I’d found my holy grail lip balm only to find that Selfridges had stopped selling it when I went to repurchase. Thankfully the brand are now more readily available and today I’ve got a review of 2 Anatomicals lip balms for you; Stop Cracking Up* and Never Loose Your Cherry*.
All products marked with * have been gifted to me for consideration. More information can be found in my full disclaimer.
Each lip balm comes with 15ml of product in a squeezy time (not ideal with hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome). The packaging of each of the Anatomicals Lip Balms is colourful with eclectic text. The applicator is my favourite of all the lip balm and lip glosses I’ve ever come across. It fits the contours of my lips beautifully and feels really nice when applying.
Anatomicals Lip Balms: Stop Cracking Up
I’m really glad to have this clear lip balm back in my life. I can’t rave about this stuff enough. It’s ideal for me, particularly in winter when my lips are at their driest. If a lip balm works during the winter for me, then it’s definitely a keeper. The only thing that surprised me with the Stop Cracking Up lip balm was the smell. It reminds me of biscuits, which isn’t ideal for someone who is allergic to wheat. I know it doesn’t have wheat in, but my brain is having a hard time getting over the smell. I’m not sure whether the ingredients have been changed since I bought my original Stop Cracking Up lip balm, but that definitely didn’t smell of biscuits. Dan has said that he thinks it smells of marzipan (something else that I’m allergic to).
Anatomicals Lip Balms: Never Loose Your Cherry
I was nervous about trying this lip balm, because I often find that artificially created cherry scents are just a bit odd. When I started the Never Loose Your Cherry balm, I was pleasantly surprised! It’s a lighter, softer scent that’s not overly sweet. Another very pleasant surprise was that the Never Loose Your Cherry lip balm is lightly tinted! The tint is similar to that of the GOSH Lip Oil in ROSE. An added bonus with the Never Loose Your Cherry lip balm is that it has an SPF of 8! People often forget to protect their lips in the summer, but it’s so important.
