I don’t often talk about nail polishes here, because I struggle to find products that really work for me. However, I also like to share a good thing when I find one. So today I have a review of Annika Nail Colour Polish * for you!

All products marked with * have been gifted to me for consideration. More information can be found in my full disclaimer.
To give you an idea of how much I struggle with nail polishes, I have about 3 shades that don’t chip until the third day. These are different shades from different brands, so I haven’t found anything that consistently works this way for me. On the other end of the spectrum, half of my nail polishes chip within 24 hours, making them pointless. Who wants to do their nails to go out & have them not last to the end of the event!?!
There are 30 colours in the Annika Nail Colour Polish range. I was sent three of three to try; Beauty Queen (a lovely burgundy shade), Romance (a gorgeous warm red shade) & Bella Ballerina (a sheer light pink shade). Beauty Queen & Romance are opaque in finish, while Bella Ballerina is translucent. I’m not usually a fan of translucent nail polishes, but this is definitely the best one I’ve tried. You can build it up so that the nail bed & tip are much less distinguishable than with most other translucent polishes. Beauty Queen is a perfect shade for Autumn & Winter, while the warmth of Romance makes this polish ideal for summer. I have quite a few red nail polishes, but this is the only one that with a warm undertone.

It was great to be able to try three polishes from the range, as it allows me to really know how the polishes perform, rather than wondering if I’ve just got a good/bad shade. All three shades lasted a full 24 hours without chipping. Yay! It wasn’t until the second day that I saw chips in my nails. I know this won’t sound like much to most people, but to me this is the sign of a good nail polish. Remember, I only have 3 nail polishes that don’t chip until the third day.
I have to say, I really like the Annika Nail Colour Polish packaging. They have a very luxurious feel to them. There’s a removable cap, that has a slightly rubbery feel similar to those on NARS polishes. Once you take the black cap off, you’re left with a standard nail polish bottle. The shape of the bottle is easy to hold & the brush paints the polish on nicely.

Annika Nail Colour Polish are made by The Edge Nails, a professional nail care brand who supply nail salons & technicians, so you know you’re getting a great quality product. Now you might be wondering how you can get hold of Annika Nail Colour Polish, if they are a professional, salon product. The Edge Nails have made these polishes available to the public, through their website & at exhibitions open to the public, such as Olympia Beauty.
Priced at £4.20 (£3.95 to trade customers), Annika Nail Colour Polish are a great option, particularly when you consider that Essie, OPI & Nails Inc. polishes cost between £7.99 & £14. The only down side when ordering is that there is a delivery charge of £3.95 on orders under £25. While this is not expensive by any means for delivery, it is nearly the cost of another nail polish. So if you only wanted one nail polish, you would be paying £8.15.
I would definitely buy Annika Nail Colour Polish if I wanted quite a few nail polishes, maybe as stocking fillers or a few Secret Santa presents. But I wouldn’t buy one or two & pay the delivery charge as well. You can find the full range of Annika Nail Colour Polishs at edge.co.uk.
