Autumn Floral Dress

I have to admit, that the Autumn floral dress I’m going to show you today is one that I’ve already written an outfit post on. As I love it so much & it was one of my outfits when I went on holiday to Center Parcs, I thought it would be ok to share again. Particularly as you’ll now be able to see how it works with my wheelchair. Though the basic outfit is the same, the pieces I’ve used to style my Autumn floral dress are different. So if you want to see an alternative way of styling this dress, head on over to my New Look OOTD post.

Autumn Floral Dress

This Autumn floral dress is one I bought from New Look a few years ago. I love this style of dress. It’s so versatile & is really easy to wear. I’ve also found that it’s been ideal with my changeable weight. I’ve been able to wear it as a size 14 & a size 10/12 & it’s always looked flattering. I have quite a few dresses in a similar style. Most of my dresses like this I wear in the summer. But this one, with it’s black background & Autumnal shades is perfect for Autumn (or Winter).

This dress is a great Summer to Autumn transitional piece, as you can wear it with leggings & then add in a long sleeved t-shirt on colder days, or leave it off for warmer ones. Here I’ve used both a long sleeved t-shirt with a round neck from Primark & leggings from Select with my Autumn floral dress.

For a jacket, I chose my faux leather jacket. This came from River Island around about Spring time of this year & was part of my bridesmaid outfit for my sister’s wedding. I love it so much & have worn it a lot since the wedding. It was Dan who suggested I wear this jacket with my Autumn floral dress. The boy’s got style!

As I only took one pair of shoes to Center Parcs, they’re featuring in this outfit post too. These are my tan New Look boots that I bought last year. I love these boots, but the back annoys me. It’s made of elastic, but I’ve managed to stretch this with my heel! Ugh. This happened when they were still fairly new, which was a real shame. I don’t think these will last past this winter, so when I replace them I’m going to be steering clear of boots with elasticated backs!

This outfit is one of a few that I wore during my stay at Center Parcs. It’s also one of a few that style leggings & a t-shirt. If you want to see other way’s I’ve styled these, check out my Styling A Batwing Jumper post & keep your eyes peeled for the two other posts I have planned. You can also check out my Center Parcs Accessibility Review & my review of Huck’s American Bar & Grill, which is where we ate a lot on holiday.

What do you think of this outfit? How would you style a long-sleeved t-shirt & leggings?

  1. I love the whole look! Im starting to do a lot more layering with long sleeve tops underneath dresses because I feel my best in girly girly dresses! Love the faux leather jacket too, its something i need to get my hands on :)

    • Thank you so much! Girly dresses make me feel good too. I don’t know what it is about them! I also like skirts & dresses when I’m sitting down as they disguise my thighs, which have always been on the larger side. I love the leather jacket! I picked one up a few years ago, but it had studs on it & they catch the hairs on the back of my neck. So unfortunately, I haven’t worn it much! So glad I have this one now. Xx

    • Thank you so much Zoe! I hope you find a leather jacket you love. I’ll keep my eyes peeled & if I see anything I think you’ll like, I’ll be sure to let you know. Xx

  2. I love to wear floral dresses in winter and I always pair them with cardigans and big scarves!!! I must buy a leather jacket asap, I have been wanting to get one since last year but I didn’t find one I really liked, maybe I will be luckier this year! x

    • Ooo… I hadn’t thought to add a scarf, thanks! I have quite a few, but haven’t worn them in a while. It’s the same with hats actually. I have quite a few, but forget about them. I definitely need to change that! It can be so tricky to find the right jacket, can’t it? I was looking for a denim jacket last year, but couldn’t find anything I liked. Xx

    • Thank you so much! I love it so much that I’ve worn a hole in it – oops. I’ve sown it up and it doesn’t really show. It’s on the back of the skirt so when I’m using my wheelchair no one would know. Xx
