Big Sexy Hair Volumizing Dry Shampoo Review

I’m not usually one to use dry shampoo, reserving it for prolonging the life of my straightened hair after it’s been cut before I inevitably have to wash it & it goes back to it’s curly glory. As a result, I don’t have a lot of experience with dry shampoo. Even still, the Big Sexy Hair Volumizing Dry Shampoo * really impressed me so I wanted to share it with you!

I first used the Big Sexy Hair Volumizing Dry Shampoo when I had my hair cut in the summer, after receiving it at the Catalyst PR Blogger Event. I have to say that initially I wasn’t impressed. It made my hair sticky & heavy. I put up with it for the day as I didn’t have time to wash it, but made sure I had time the next day. It was hard to wash out too. Turns out, I used too much of it, too close to my head!

I didn’t use it again until I packed it to take to hospital for my autonomics tests as I didn’t think I would be able to shower with the 24hr blood pressure cuff on. You can find what else I took in my What’s In My Hospital Toiletry Bag? post. This time, I sprayed less of the product into my hair from further away & was really pleased with the results! Not only did my hair feel fresh on the day I used the dry shampoo (much more than with any other dry shampoo I’ve tried), I didn’t need to use it the day after to freshen my hair up again. I’ve never come across a dry shampoo that I’ve been able to use one day & not feel the need to use it again the next! I often feel my hair needs to be washed the second day & have always needed to at least give it another spray the next day to revive my hair again.

Big Sexy Hair Volumizing Dry Shampoo

I have been using the Big Sexy Hair Volumizing Dry Shampoo more & more as my energy is reducing & it’s becoming harder to wash my hair. The Big Sexy Hair Volumizing Dry Shampoo ranges in price from £10.95-£16.44 for 150ml & can be purchased from Feel Unique, Beauty Bay & Amazon.

    • That was what really struck me too! I’ve never been able to leave my hair the day after using dry shampoo before. I’m very impressed. I’d love to know what you think if you try it! Xx

  1. I’m in love with all of the Big Sexy Hair products and will definitely have to check this one out!

  2. I am addicted to dry shampoo because there is no way I am washing my hair every other day. In fact with dry shampoo I now only have to wash it once a week. Also makes my dye last longer which is good. Definitely need to try this one

    • Ooo… That’s really good to know about the dye, thanks Beth! I wash my hair twice a week, but if I try & get a day or two more out of it with dry shampoo that’ll hopefully reduce the frequency I have to dye to cover my greys! Xx

    • Funnily enough, the only other type I’ve tried is Batiste! I prefer this one, but Batiste is cheaper & easier to get hold of. Xx

    • Agreed, That has been my favorite so far. I Have extremely fine hair, and sometimes I even use it on freshly washed/dried hair for extra volume. I especially like the color tinted, to cover any roots, (blonde), but it is often difficult to find.

      • One of the things I’m not keen on with Batiste is the white cast it leaves on my hair. I think I need to try the colour tinted version. Xx
