GOSH Forever Eye Shadow Review

The Maybelline Colour Tattoos changed my makeup game, before them I’d never found a cream eyeshadow that didn’t crease within 5 seconds of application. But there’s one problem with the Colour Tattoos, they just aren’t practical to travel with. I tried a few pencil cream shadows, with no luck. It was like I was back in my teenage years where everything I tried creased. That was until I picked up the GOSH Forever Eye Shadow in Silver Rose.

So as you can probably tell from my introduction, this pencil lasts all day without creasing! It’s as good as the Maybelline Colour Tattoos, which is a sentence I never thought I would ever be saying! I really like wearing the GOSH Forever Eye Shadow in Silver Rose as an all over lid colour when I’m in a rush. This looks great on it’s own or with winged liner. The shade is a metallic champaign silver which reminds me of Urban Decay’s Sin eyeshadow, a more champaign version of UD’s Verve. Both of these have been favourites of mine for a single colour eye look.

The GOSH Forever Eye Shadow is so simple to apply. I put it on straight from the pencil & it goes on smoothly, without any tugging of the eyes. Blending the crease is easy, you just have to make sure you do it before the cream shadow dries. For this reason, I apply one eye at a time & blend before moving on to the other.

Travelling with the GOSH Forever Eye Shadow is so much easier than with a Maybelline Colour Tattoo as it’s much lighter & the shape is easier to slip into a makeup bag. There are 6 shades in the metallic version of the GOSH Forever Eye Shadow. There is now a Matt version of the GOSH Forever Eye Shadow too if shimmer isn’t your thing. You can buy them from superdrug.com for £6.29, which is a great price!

One think I do feel is worth mentioning is that I think the ingredients have been changed since I bought my eyeshadow stick. I’m allergic to egg & Lecithin can come from a few different sources, one of which is egg. I check the ingredients of all the products I buy, so wouldn’t have picked this one up if it had Lecithin in. Such a shame as this means I now can’t repurchase when my Silver Rose runs out.
