So you may know that I have a lot of allergies, so finding brands & product that don’t cause a reaction can, at times, be hard. Today I’m sharing an interesting find with you in my Lotil Cream Review.
Let’s get the negatives out of the way first, I don’t like the smell of this cream. It has an almost clinical smell. Although the Lotil Cream* is suitable for use on the face, the smell put me off trying this. Other than the smell though, I really liked this cream! It’s created for dry skin & suitable for skin conditions such as eczema, which I have. The cream contains ingredients that give it anti-bacterial, anti-fungal & anti-septic benefits. This means that not only does it aid in repairing skin, it also protects from infection.

I had some funny spot type patches come up on my legs. It’s the second time I’ve experienced these, the first time I had to get special cream from the Dr. This time around though, I decided to try my Lotil cream out first, to really test out the anti-bacterial properties. I have to say, I was really impressed! Although the first day I tried the cream it already looked like the spot things were improving, it only took two days of using the cream for them to be nothing more than marks! So I can safely say the anti-bacterial aspects really work.
The cream itself doesn’t fee moisturising when you apply it, which initially concerned me. There was no need for this though. The texture feels very much like the SkinSincere Aloe Vera Body Lotion, which could be because it contains Aloe Vera. You can read more about the SkinSincere Aloe Vera Body Lotion in my SkinSincere: Brand Overview post. I found the Lotil Cream to be more moisturising than the SkinSincere lotion. As with the SkinSincere body lotions, the Lotil Cream has the benefit that it doesn’t feel tacky when applied to the skin, so you can put your clothes on straight away without them sticking to you!
It is worth noting that the plastic used in the packaging is quite strong. Great if you’re travelling, but not quite so helpful if you have problems with your hands like I do because of my EDS.

Why do you get the luxury of having accessible eczema?! Don’t get me wrong I’m grateful that I only get mild patches between my toes and fingers…but the eczema IN MY INNER EAR drives me bananas! I have to pour steroid shampoo down my ears to keep it bearable enough that I don’t rip them off!
NB not really trying to take value away from your struggle…just taking the easy segway to a cheap laugh! (It really does drive me nuts tho…That bit’s true)
Haha Oh bless you! Unfortunately I too know the struggle of eczema between your fingers & in your ears. The worst for me was when I had an allergic reaction to an eyeshadow or eye cream & ended up with eczema on my eyelids. That was particularly uncomfortable! Xx
