My Favourite Rimmel Products

Rimmel are a great brand in terms of price point & the variety they offer. As with any brand, there are products I love & products that just don’t suit me for what ever reason. To help you pick the products you’ll love, I thought I’d share with you my favourite Rimmel products, along with some things I’d like to try.

Favourite Rimmel Products

Lipsticks £4.99-£6.49

I have to say, I’ve always been impressed with Rimmel’s lipsticks. The first lipstick I owned was their Lasting Finish lipstick in Asia, a 13th birthday present from my big sister. I’ve bought more shades from the Lasting Finish line, as well as trying both the Moisture Renew & the Matte Lasting Finish lipsticks. So far, I haven’t found one that I don’t like. I’m thinking of doing a Rimmel lipstick collection, seeing as I’m allergic to MAC lipsticks so can’t do one of those. Is that something you’d be interested in seeing? Would you prefer all lipsticks or just the Moisture Renew, which I have the most of?

Exaggerate Lip Liners £3.99

One of my favourite lip liners of all time is the Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner. I’ve used my East End Snob liner up in just 6 months. This shows just how impressed I am with it, seeing as I’d never used up a lip liner before then. As well as East End Snob, I also have Obsession, which is the perfect liner for a berry lip. I need to pick up a new East End Snob & have my eye on a few other shades too!

Bronzers £5.59-£5.99

The Sun Bronzer was the first bronzer I ever bought & is still a firm favourite for me. As well as the light, medium & dark shades, each comes in matte or shimmer too. I’m not going to go on about this much, as you can read my Rimmel Sun Bronzer Review. As well as the Sun Bronzer, Rimmel also have a Natural Bronzer, which is a gorgeous shade. This bronzer has an SPF of 8 & comes in a waterproof version too! Perfect for a trip to the beach or on a hot day where you’re prone to sweating.

Blushes £3.99

I don’t have any of the current blushes that are available from Rimmel. The two older versions I have, a powder blusher & a cream blusher, are some of my most used shades. You can see just how much I love the Rimmel Cream Blusher in my Project Pan update post. Though I haven’t tried any of the shades in the new packaging, I have every faith that they will be just as good in terms of pigmentation & blendability as the two older blushes I own. I do think it’s a shame that Rimmel’s cream blushed didn’t last long, as I’m in love with mine.

Scandal’Eyes Eyeliner £3.99

I’ve only recently started wearing liner on a regular basis. I have quite a few Urban Decay pencil eyeliners that came with palettes, but when I saw that Rimmel had come out with a shade that would brighten my water line, I was all over it. Unfortunately, I haven’t used it very much, as with my green glasses on you really can’t tell that I’m wearing it. The quality is brilliant though, so when I’ve used up all of my Urban Decay liners that I’ve acquired over the years, I fully intend to replace them with the Rimmel Scandal’eyes eyeliners. As well as a great formula & the standard eyeliner shades, this line has some great coloured options, such as Purple, Taupe, Blue & the brightening colour Nude.

Brow Gel £3.99

I struggle with my brows & have been on the hunt for the perfect products for rather a long time now. I picked up the Maybelline Brow Drama & it really wasn’t right for my sparse brows. The Rimmel Brow Gel is the complete opposite! Not only does that shade Dark Brown compliment my hair colour perfectly, it covers the skin as well as the brows, perfect if you don’t have much to show for your eyebrows. The gel setts the hairs in place perfectly & they don’t budge all day, which is why I’ll be picking up the clear version when I’ve used my current clear brow gels up. You can check out my Rimmel Vs. Maybelline Brow Gel post to find out more about the differences between the two.

Favourite Rimmel Products

As always with my favourite brand products posts, I like to tell you about the products I have my eye on. The products that excite me, but I’m yet to try. (ingredients list dependant). From Rimmel, these are the:

Liquid Eyeliner – I’ve had loads of people recommend this to me!

Moisture Renew Sheer lipsticks – I love the Moisture Renew lipsticks & the YSL Rouge Volute Shine lipsticks, so I’m hoping these will be a combination of the two!

The Only 1 Lipstick – Just because I live Rimmel lipsticks.

Favourite Rimmel Products

Brow This Way Eyebrow Kit – I’ve been experimenting with powder eyebrow products & if I can find a shade that I think is suitable, I’d love to give this a try.

Colour Rush Balm – My sister has this & I’ve been really impressed with how it looks on her. I have the No.7 Lip Pencils, which are the same sort of thing & love them, so I’d like to try Rimmel’s version.

What are your favourite Rimmel products? Are there any that you think I should try that aren’t on this list?

  1. I like the foundations and the scandal eyes liners plus the kate moss lipsticks, I haven’t tried anything else to be honest, oh and I love the nail polishes apart from the gel ones I think they’re terrible, but on the whole apart from the gel polishes I’ve liked everything I’ve tried, great post xxx

    • I think my first foundation was a Rimmel one, but I didn’t get on with it. It had a distinct smell & broke me out (which is very unusual), so I suspect the fragrance was an issue for me. I haven’t tried the nail polishes yet, but my sister has been impressed with them! Xx

    • Yay! I’m so glad you love Rimmel makeup too. Thank you so much, it was fun shooting the photos. I think the 5 lipsticks are my favourite photo. Xx

    • Haha I figure cliche’s become so for a reason – it’s often because they’re just that good! I really do need to pick up a new East End Snob. Xx

    • Are you in the US? I’ve looked for Airy Fairy after some American friends on YouTube recommended it, but I’ve not been able to find it anywhere. That made me very sad. Xx

      • Yes I think they only have it in the US. Although Anna Saccone-Joly has it. Maybe they sell it in the UK or Ireland?

        • They aren’t available here in the UK. It’s possible that Anna bought hers on a trip to the US, or someone sent it too her. Maybe Amazon or eBay have it available from the US, I’ll have to see what I can find. Xx

  2. Rimmel is one of my favouriter affordable brands! Even though I don’t have too many of Rimmel products at the moment tucked away in my makeup bag, I am loving the ones I do have there. Lipsticks are numero uno!!! :)
Loved reading this little ode of a post to Rimmel, including your faves from it, sweetie. xox Nadia

    • I completely agree with you, their lipsticks are fab! Rimmel were one of the first brands I fell in love with, so I’m glad you like them as much as I do. Xx

  3. I’m not crazy about Rimmel, but I do like their Retro Glam Mascara since it’s a dupe for Too Faced Better than Sex. I also want to try their lipstick in the shade “Berry Rich”. I had some of their liquid lipsticks and I loved them but felt like it was too drying!

    • That’s interesting, I’ve not got on well with Rimmel mascaras, but I’m glad the Retro Glam suits your lashes. I do love the lipstick formulas though. I don’t think we have Berry Rich in the UK, but I’m sure we have something similar – I’ll have to have a look. I didn’t get on with the liquid lipsticks either, very drying! Xx

  4. i love Rimmel for their products. i’m somewhat on a mission to collect the colors that suit me from their liquid lipsticks and love their mascaras. their scandal eyes is awesome and i need to pick up their brow gel to try.

    • That’s really interesting that the two products you love, are the ones I really don’t get on with! Just shows how different we all are & that what works for one, doesn’t necessarily work for another. Xx
