I’m on the hunt for my holy grail concealer & I have to say, so far, the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer is the best I’ve tried! My under eye area is dry & because of sleep issues related to my chronic illnesses, also often dark. As I’ve crept closer to my 30th birthday, my under eye area has also become more wrinkled, so I’ve been trying to find something that doesn’t highlight this, as well as not looking dry & having good coverage! So I’m not asking much! Haha

If I’m honest, I initially didn’t like this concealer. I don’t know if it was the result of a really frustrating experience when I bought it or not. I picked this concealer up when I was in London, from a store that I don’t have local to me. I explained that I wanted the radiant creamy concealer, had it applied to my under eye area for a colour match & made my purchase. Imagine my frustration when I got home to find out that I’d been sold the standard stick concealer! It got worse though. Luckily, I was heading back to London within a month of being sold the wrong concealer for a hospital appointment. So instead of concentrating on my appointment, I headed down to London early & fought against the Christmas shoppers on Oxford Street to get my concealer changed. Imaging how cross I was when the lady I spoke to on the counter asked me if I was sure I’d asked for the Radiant Creamy Concealer, because they’d been sold out when I purchased! Erm… yes! I’m sure, I don’t like the formulation of stick concealers & I think I’d have noticed if the makeup artist had applied that to my face! I was so angry! I know they were busy, but to try to make out it was my fault was beyond a joke! I really wish I’d demanded to speak to the beauty hail manager & made a complaint about the way I was spoken to, but my focus was on my hospital appointment.
So after my little rant about the difficulties I had getting this concealer, let me tell you why I now LOVE IT!!!!!

The first thing I love about this concealer is that it blends seamlessly with my NARS Tinted Moisturiser. Getting a shade that not only suits you, but also looks great with your chosen base. This combination of concealer & base is the first I’ve really, truly been happy with. It may be because they are from the same brand, but I’ve also been really pleased with the look of the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer with just my MAC MSF Natural in Light Plus as my base.

There are 10 shades in the range & I wear Vanilla, which is described as having a ‘tiny cast of pink for the fair complexion’. This works to reduce the darkness under my eyes beautifully! I love the doe foot applicator, as this makes it so much easier to get the right amount of product on our skin. I also really like that you can see through the packaging, which is really handy for knowing when to repurchase!

I initially thought the concealer was creasing, but it turned out to just be my under eye area becoming more wrinkled as I’ve gotten older! Unlike some other concealers, the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer doesn’t highlight these tell tale signs of ageing, which I’m really thankful for. I really like that the concealer, while not accenting the lines under my eyes, is also not drying. I’ve tended to find that concealers are either great at not highlighting wrinkles, but highlight the dryness under my eyes or the other way round but not this one! I like to set this concealer with the Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder in No.1.
I would highly recommend the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, which can be purchased for £22 from Nars.com & John Lewis & £22.50 from Selfridges.

Yay! I’d love to know what you think if you get it. Xx
I always thought Chantilly was the lightest shade? I’m not sure which one to buy, as I have yellow undertones rather than pink!

Thanks Laura, I missed that! Nars describe Vanilla as a ‘tiny cast of pink for the fair complexion’ & Chantilly as ‘true ivory shade for the fairest complexion’. So I think you’re right that Chantilly would be lighter. I have yellow undertones rather than pink too & it surprised me when I read the description that Vanilla has pink in it. I might have to swatch both when I come to repurchase incase Chantilly would be an even better option for me in terms of brightening under my eyes. Xx
