Recent Product Empties 1

I used to do this as a video on my YouTube channel, but since filming has become too difficult I thought I would share it here instead! So keep reading my product empties 1 if you want to know what products I’ve used up recently, my thoughts on them & if I would repurchase or not!

To avoid excessive repetition, I’m not going to be including my everyday products. If you want to know about those, you can check out my Skincare Saviours & Skincare Staples posts. I will have posts on my  staple body & hair care products up in the future.

Umberto Giannini Curl Friends Scrunching Jelly* £6

If you’ve read my review of the Umberto Giannini Scrunching Jelly, you’ll know that I really like it! I have to say that when my hair got very long & quite thin at the ends it didn’t work so well & left my hair looking a little stuck together in places. Now that I’ve had it cut & the bottom is a lot thicker I love it more than I ever have before! I have another one of these & am looking forward to using it. I can definitely see myself buying this in the future.

Nivea Stress Protect Deodorant Stick £2.50

I shouldn’t buy any deodorant other than this one. I started to experience a wet feeling under my arms, which I’m not sure whether it’s related to my PoTS or not, but the only deodorant that is effective in stopping this 100% of the time is the Nivea Stress Protect. Unfortunately I can’t always get hold of it so sometimes have to resort to using another fragrance. I think I’m going to have to stockpile to get round this problem! I managed to get this one reduced (about 75p off I think) as the packaging had been broken which was fab & didn’t make a difference to the actual products at all.

Ren Rosa Centifolia Hot Cloth Cleanser (sample)

I’d never tried a hot cloth cleanser, but this little beauty came free with a magazine – the perfect way to try a product without having to spend a lot of money! I was pleased with how it left my skin feeling & I didn’t have a reaction to it which is always a worry with my skin. The £16 for a full size bottle is out of my price range at the moment, but I will definitely be looking into this & other products in the range in the future.

Exuviance Gentle Cleansing Creme*

I really enjoyed this cleanser. I gravitate towards cream products for my face as it’s so dry & prone to eczema & these seem to be the best for my skin. I have a full review of the Exuviance Gentle Cleansing Creme if you want to check it out. I won’t be purchasing this again, because I’m not keen on using water in my skincare routine as at the very least it makes my skin feel uncomfortable & it can lead to dryness for me.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water £1.99

I loved the L’Oreal Micellar Cleansing Water from the moment I started using it, so I was a little sceptical about whether I would like Garnier’s version (which is why I chose the small bottle!). I was able to get it on offer for £1, so it was a great chance to try it & I was pleasantly surprised! There are some slight differences to the L’Oreal one, which I plan to discuss in a future post, but I would happily purchase either of these as my cleansing waters of choice!

Derma V10 Cocoa Body Butter* approx. £3

I received this & the Mango scent in my goody bag from the #WestMidlandsBloggerMeet & have been so impressed! I’ll have a full review of both products coming in the future, but the best way to sum this product up would be that it’s like the Palmer’s Cocoa Butter but even richer! I love it!

Gucci Flora Perfume £45

Another product that I’ll have a review on up soon is the Gucci Flora perfume. This is one of my all time favourite scents. Dan bought it for me for Christmas 2010 & I’ve just finished it up. I don’t wear perfume often, but am trying to do so more as I’ve less energy for putting on makeup & it gives a nice lift to your mood. Dan purchased me another bottle this Christmas, but I want to try to use the rest of my other favourite, the Givenchy Very Irrisistible, before I open it. Ideally, I would always like to have one of these in my possession, but it’s hard to say for certain as perfumes are rather pricy!

Have you used any of these products? What do you think of them?

  1. I have that scrunching jelly to try! So I am glad you enjoyed it because I have been kind of putting it off, which I know sounds silly!

I like the boots No7 hot cloth cleanser (http://www.boots.com/en/No7-Beautiful-Skin-Hot-Cloth-Cleanser_1245026/) but I only buy it when I have the £5 off No7 skincare voucher, and I have heard good things about the superdrug one but I have never tried it myself!

Hope you are feeling better soon!

    • Ooo… that’s great to know, thanks Charlotte! I’m pretty sure I’ve checked the ingredients in the No.7 one as a cheaper alternative & I can’t have it. I didn’t know Superdrug have one too so I’ll definitely be checking that out! Let me know what you think of the scrunching jelly when you try it! Xx

    • Thank you! I haven’t tried the No.7 hot cloth cleanser either, it would be interesting to compare it to the REN version. Xx

    • It really is! Let me know what you think if you try it. Yay! I’m glad you love Gucci Flora too. I was so lucky that Dan bought me another! Xx
