Recent Product Empties 3

I’ve been using more products up so thought it was high time for my product empties 3 post! For those of you who haven’t read my empties 1 or empties 2 post, I don’t include products that I go back to time & time again. How boring would it be for me to tell you about how much I love the same moisturiser every product empties post!?! To get round this, I’ve compiled a haircare routine, skincare staples, skincare saviours & Superdrug Simply Pure post, so that if you want to know more about products I will always repurchase, you can check them out.

Palmers Coco Butter Formula Moisturiser £4.50

I love the product, but I hate the packaging. The pump bottle is better than the squeeze one, but I still had loads of product left once the bottle wouldn’t pump any more out. Hence the need to cut into the packaging. The moisturiser itself is lovely. Not too overly thick, but just right. It leaves my skin feeling soft & lasts all day. The smell is gorgeous & it works well to keep my eczema at bay. I won’t be repurchasing this again though until they come out with a different packaging option.

Nivea In Shower Body Firming Moisturiser £5.25

Initially I was sceptical of the concept of an in shower moisturiser. I couldn’t see how it would save any time. I tried it on recommendation from a friend & was very impressed! I’ve got a full review written on the Nivea In Shower Body Moisturiser, so check that out if you want more information. I would definitely repurchase this in the future.

Palmers Coco Butter for Hands, Elbows, Knees & Feet £2.10

I love this product! The scent is the same as the big bottle of Palmers Coco Butter Formula Moisturiser & you can also get it in an unscented version. I get mine from Savers as they often have it on offer for £1. I’ve read you shouldn’t use standard moisturiser on your feet, something to do with bacteria, so because feet are one of the suitable body parts listed on the packaging, I tend to save this just for me feet. I’ve used this for many years & will continue to do so. I’m going to write a body care post once I’ve got a full set of products I love & this is guaranteed to feature in that.

China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat £6.95

This top coat isn’t completely used up, but it’s definitely past it’s best. I bought mine from the local Sally’s store, which is open to the public. The polish has become stringy & doesn’t leave a nice smooth finish to the nails. I enjoyed using this & it worked well, but I won’t be repurchasing it as I find my Orly Glosser Top Coat gives a better result & I’d like to try the No.7 Top Coat as I get on really well with their Base Coat.

Extra Strength Nail Polish Remover by Sainsbury’s £1.50

There’s not a whole lot I can say about this nail polish remover except it works. It’s a no frills product that does the job & I would definitely repurchase again if I’m doing a Sainsbury’s food shop (we usually shop at Tesco) when I need to replace a bottle.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Hand Cream £10

I picked this up for £1. £1! This was another Savers bargain & I’m really glad I picked it up. The moisturiser itself is really good. It leaves your hands feeling soft & smooth & lasts all day. I don’t like the smell of this cream though. I definitely wouldn’t pay full price for this, if I’m going to pay Elizabeth Arden prices I want to love EVERYTHING about the product. If I can find it again in Savers though, I’ll pick one up if I’m running low on hand cream.

Vichy Liftactiv Eyes Anti-Wrinkle & Firming Care £23.00

I got on really well with the Vichy Liftactiv Eyes cream. Before this eye cream I was using the La Roche Posay eye cream (which you can read about in my Skincare Staples post) & I found with the consistent I wasn’t able to put makeup on after applying it. I haven’t tried many eye creams, but the Vichy Liftactive has been the first where I’ve been able to apply it in the morning & then 30 mins or so later, apply my makeup successfully. The only reason I won’t be repurchasing this eye cream at the moment is because of the price. I just don’t have that kind of money available to me at the moment. I can highly recommend it though & if I do have some disposable income in the future, I’ll be going back to using it regularly.

Right Guard Women Ultra Cool Anti-Perspirant Deodorant £2.46

This was the first roll on deodorant I’ve used for many, many years. For the most part, I got on well with it. It kept me fresh all day. Having tried the Sure Cotton Roll-On now, I’m less impressed with Right Guard Ultra Cool. It took much longer to dry than the Sure does & the Sure is more ergonomic & easier to apply. I’d buy the Right Guard Ultra Cool again if the Sure wasn’t available.
