Warm Autumn Makeup Look

Well, it appears that we are now well & truly in Autumn. I was in denial when we officially moved into Autumn, but is seems that the weather has taken note. Summer is over. I’m not a fan of the colder months. I think the only things I like are the berry tones, boots & Christmas. In order to kick Autumn off on a positive note, I thought I’d bring you a warm Autumn makeup look featuring some of my favourite Autumnal shades.

Warm Autumn Makeup Look: Eyes

To start my warm Autumn makeup look, I primed my eye lid with the MAC Soft Ochre Paint Pot. I took this into my crease & blended it up to the middle of my brow bone. I have a review of the MAC Soft Ochre Paint Pot. I’m trying to finish it up & you can see my progress in my Project Pan Update 2 post.

I used the Bobbi Brown Eyeshadow in Ivory on my brow bone & down into the crease. This is my perfect brow bone shade & taking it into my crease helps with blending my crease colour when I apply is. For my eyelid, I used Urban Decay Half Baked. This is a strong gold colour that really packs a punch. I tend to prefer a softer gold shade, but the bold colour works really well in this warm Autumn makeup look.

In my crease, I chose to use the Too Faced eyeshadow in Salted Caramel (from Chocolate Bar palette). This is a lovely warm, mid brown shade. I then used Urban Decay’s Last Call eyeshadow in the outer 1/2 of my crease & on my the inner part of my lower lash line. This is a lovely purple berry shade. I used Urban Decay’s Roach eyeshadow in outer V & along my outer lower lash line. Roach is a lovely rich brown shade.

To finish the eyes, I lined them with the Urban Decay 24/7 Liquid Liner in Perversion. I applied two coats of the Smashbox Full Exposure mascara (which I’ve written a review of) on my upper lashes & one coat of the Urban Decay Perversion Mascara (which I’ve written a review of) on my lower lash line.

Warm Autumn Makeup Look: Face

For the rest of my face, I used the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer (which I’ve written a review of) to cover the dark circles under my eyes, set with the Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage Powder. I used my MAC MSF Natural in Light Plus with the Real Techniques Buffing Brush all over my face as a base.

As I’m working on my Rimmel Cream blush in Baby Kiss as part of my project pan & the pink works nicely with the eyeshadow shades I chose, I decided to use this blusher in the look. For Autumn, I love using my Mary LouManizer highlighter from The Balm on my cheek bones, nose & inner corner of the eye (though I forgot this step for the photo!) The golden sheen is a perfect compliment to the Autumnal shades of the season.

Warm Autumn Makeup Look: Brows

For my brows, I use the Tom Ford Brow Sculptor in Taupe & the Maybelline Brow Drama in Dark Brown. I have a review of the Tom Ford brow sculptor & a comparison between the Maybelline Brow Drama Vs. Rimmel Brow Gel.

Warm Autumn Makeup Look: Lips

For my lips, I used the No.7 Lip Liner in Nude & my Lancome Colour Fever lipstick, which is now discontinued. These were in my project pan, but I took them out when I got my wheelchair. I noticed that people treat me differently when I’m wearing makeup, so I wanted a nice everyday lipstick to help people see me rather than the chair. So I decided to shift my focus from ‘trying to use this lipstick up’, to ‘enjoying it as an everyday lipstick when I want to feel put together’.  I think this lip colour compliments the eye look perfectly. I feel a bold lip would be too much.
