Natural Cool Toned Makeup Look

If I’m honest, I really don’t wear makeup a lot at the moment. I don’t leave the house much & so don’t have occasion (or the energy) to wear makeup. Despite this, I still really enjoy the process of applying & trying out makeup. When Dan & I went to Center Parcs, I knew that I was going to enjoy putting my makeup on for dinner. As my Autumn Makeup Look had such a positive response, I wanted to share my holiday makeup looks with you, starting with my natural cool toned makeup look.

Natural Cool Toned Makeup Look: Face

For my base, I started by applying my Nars Tinted Moisturiser (click for review). I’m lucky that I don’t need a lot of coverage & the tinted moisturiser helped nourish my skin after swimming every day. I set this with Incandescent Light from the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette.

For under my eyes, I used my Real Techniques Detailer brush to apply the Pixi Colour Corrector in the inner portion under my eye. This is where I get the most darkness & helps to cancel it out. I used my Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer (click for review) in a triangle under my eyes. I blended this our & across my nose, before setting with my Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder.

Natural Cool Toned Makeup Look: Brows

I wanted something quick  & simple for my brows, that would also look good. I chose my Soap & Glory Brow Archery in Brownie Points & set this with a clear mascara from MUA.

Natural Cool Toned Makeup Look: Eyes

I started my eye look with my MAC Soft Ochre Paint Pot (click for review). This gives a nice base for my eyeshadow in the colder months & conceals the veins in my eyelids.

Natural Cool Toned Makeup Look, Smashbox Full Exposure Palette

The palette I used my Smashbox Full Exposure palette for my natural cool toned makeup look.

I started by taking M4, as neutral, light cream shade, all over my lid & up to my brow bone with my Sigma E25 brush. I prefer a fluffy brush for shades like M4, as dense brushes can often make some cream shades look too dark on me.

For my crease, I used M5 on a MAC 217 brush. I then wet a MAC 239 brush & used it to apply S5 all over my lid. I have to say that I don’t find S5 packs as much punch as it’s warm toned equivalent, S3.

To define my eyes further, I used the same 217 brush to take M6 to create a darker outer v. I then used my Soap & Glory Supercat Eyeliner (click for review) to line my eyes & create a wing. I also added a pop of white with my GOSH shimmery white eyeliner, which is in my project pan.

As this is a more natural look, I picked my Kiss False Eyelashes in Sultry (click for review), to add just the right amount of drama. I finished my bottom lashes with a coat of mascara.

Natural Cool Toned Makeup Look: Cheeks

For this look, I used my NYX blusher in Taupe (click for review) with my Real Techniques Sculpting Brush to contour. This wasn’t something that I did while I was on holiday, as I didn’t have the energy for the extra step, but I wanted to include it in this post for you.

My highlighter of choice for this look was MAC’s Sot & Gentle. I took this & Becca’s Opal with me on holiday, but Opal is more of a champagne shade, so worked better with warmer looks.

I finished my cheeks with Bobbi Brown’s Nude Pink blusher. This is one of my favourite blusher shades. It’s similar to Benefit’s Hervana.

Natural Cool Toned Makeup Look: Lips

Mu neutral lip option for holiday was a combination of No7 Nude lip liner & the Topshop lipstick in Obsession. Honestly, the reason I chose the No7 lip liner was that I’ve had it for rather a long time & would like to use it up. I was really pleased with how well this went with the shade Obsession. I have a feeling I’m going to be getting a lot more use out of this lip liner in the future.

    • Thank you so much! I haven’t worn this blusher for a couple of years now, until I decided to take it on holiday that it! I’ve definitely rekindled my love for it. Xx

  1. Your makeup looks are always so gorgeous, Tania <3 Your skin looks stunning! NARS tinted moisturizer sounds immense but it would never be enough coverage for me. I might give it a go though as I've been trying to wear less makeup/more minimalistic looks. Looking forward to seeing the outfit in your next post, lovely <3
